“Denmark in Lithuania” is a cooperation agreement between the Embassy of Denmark and selected Danish companies, a sort of umbrella for various Danish activities in Lithuania. Cost of activities organised or supported by the Denmark in Lithuania will be shared between the Embassy and our seven cooperation partners. “Denmark in Lithuania” can support all sorts of Danish activities in Lithuania that would or could normally be supported by the Embassy, meetings, seminars and activities, such as concerts and other cultural events, and would typically do it by printing a program, a poster etc. In 2009, as was the case in 2008, quite many events will be climate change-related. Our seven “Denmark in Lithuania”-partners are all known as Danish in Lithuania. They are all very important for the Danish economy and certainly for the Danish economic activities in Lithuania. We have decided that together we can contribute to a positive “branding” of Denmark in Lithuania, in the interest of The Embassy (Government) and also in the interest of Danish business and economy in a wider sense. I would like to thank Danfoss, Danisco, Danske Bank, DFDS-Lisco, DSV, Vestas and Rockwool for being our “Denmark in Lithuania”-partners. The Embassy of Denmark will be the contact point for “Denmark in Lithuania”. Vilnius, 18 April 2009. Laurids MikaelsenAmbassador of Denmark
